FACILITY:
Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, 800 East Second Street, Charlotte NC 28204. The facility includes an indoor, 8-lane 50-meter competition pool, separate 4-lane 25-yard warm-up pool, 8-lane Colorado timing system and alpha-numeric scoreboard, spacious locker rooms, and ample seating for 1000 competitors and spectators.
FORMAT:
All events except the 800 and 1500 Free and relays will be conducted on a Prelim and Finals basis. Eight swimmers each will qualify for an A, B, and C Finals heat at night. If the time line for the preliminary session (excluding the 800 and 1500 Freestyles) for any day significantly exceeds 3 hours that day's prelims will be run in two sessions.

TIME STANDARDS:
The 2000 USA Swimming Junior Championship Time Standards (see Order of Events). Swimmers with one standard may swim a total of three events; two standards allows up to five events; and three standards permits a maximum of seven events. Swimmers must meet the standard to swim events 400 meters and longer.
RECORD FUND:
Each time a new UltraSwim meet record is established, the individual swimmer or relay team that breaks the record receives the current dollar award for that event. Each event starts at a $100 award and $100 is added to the Record Fund each year that the record remains unbroken. The maximum award for any event is $1000. The current award for each event is listed in the Order of Events. Total record money for 2004 is $17,700!
MEET INFORMATION:
**Being an Olympic year and the historical success of this event we want to run a meet that is manageable. In order to attend you must return the entry information response form. Please fill this out as soon as possible and return/fax to MAC.

Meet information will be mailed in late April to only those coaches and teams that have returned the Response Form indicating the number of swimmers they anticipate sending to the 2004 meet.

The Charlotte UltraSwim is a National Certification Meet for USA Swimming officials. All certified officials are welcome. Those persons interested in working as an official at this meet should complete the Online Application.
